For the past two years, I have been stuggling for something I have not experienced. I have lost touch with art. I was overly concentrated on every technical knowledge on every production aspect. I seemingly learnt alot but without any practices. And the worst of it is that I stopped exploring into myself as an artist.
Then comes the flood of AI, I felt even worst. My speciality of being a technical vfx artist seemingly vanished. Devastated would be a proper word.
Lately, I got into workout because of my buddies, and well, I think I finally got myself back up. I improved my health and my spirit.
For the past two weeks, I went into redesigning my robot, Xmatch. It was firstly designed back in 2022! Time flies.
I studied character design and actually go through each parts step by step. If you know me in person, you know I despise “taste over technique”. I would forever respect and appreciate craftmanship and draftsmanship. I would say design is hard. But no way it is comparable to technical challenges when it comes to CG. But this thinking is the reason why I never dove into design. It became my excuse. I overcame this. I am happy with my design.
Also, picking up dance again. Learning videography and colorgrading as well. Looking to make dance video again like I did before.
